Nerves
I am such an outgoing person, but when I step in front of people to speak I get SO nervous. I've been speaking in front of people since the 5th grade. Introducing special guests that visited the school, reading poems, and my most important was my Salutatorian speech. I remember being nervous, but I always got over it halfway through. Now that im in college, I wonder if getting it together in the middle is good enough. I really don't think so. Guess that's one more thing i'll be working on!

There Is Talent Here
Just came from my boyfriends performance. He, his dance crew (Hybrid), and other performers held an event at the Rumba Room and OMG it was so good. Whoever said there wasn't talent in Memphis would've slapped themselves tonight because that event was FULL of talented people. They had dancers, singers, rappers, spoken word, and more. It was really fun and im glad I got to see people doing what they love to do.

Nothing Like Family
Had a wonderful Sunday with the family. Ate bar-b-q, talked, danced, and played with by my nieces & nephews. Some how they ended up getting me to buy all of them ice creams after the viciously attacked me lol. I love all 13 of them though (yes 13!). I have a big family and it's never a dull moment with them.

A Smile is for happy people
I use to hide behind a smile because I didn't like people seeing me "weak" (as I would say). No matter how sad, mad, or sick I was you would catch me with a smile because I know things could be WAYYYY worse than they are now. But hiding behind something that wasn't real became so annoying. I had so much buried pain that I kept burying deeper and deeper and I hid it with a smile. Recently I decided to let it all out and I can now say that when I smile it's because im happy INSIDE and OUT. And thats a huge accomplishment for me.

Me+Math Test=FAILED
So two weeks ago I took this math test. I studied really hard because im not a great test taker in that subject. I thought I did ok, but my grade told me otherwise. Its so frustrating because I hate C's let alone failing grade. As much as I try to understand math at a fast pace, it doesnt work. Its difficult trying to learn something in 1 hr then the next day learn something new, its hard to process. But anywho, I talked to the Professor and told him my problem. He says he can help by the next test, I really hope so.

Everyday Brings Something New
Even though we are different, as college students we have the same routine. We go to class during the week (sometimes weekends), study, do homework, and on the weekends we like to let loose or just relax. It seems like its the same routine over and over, but I still smile and look foward to doing it. I never know what new person im going to see or if the people in my class will do something unexpected. Everyday just brings something new and even though it feels like college has molded me into doing a certain routine, its what works for me at this stage in my life.

Im A Psychology Major, Math Should NOT Apply To Me!
Ok I know math applies to me no matter what my major is, but I still wish I didn't have to take it. Even though I always do a good job in the subject, it takes me longer to understand a problem and if I don't have someone to help me understand then my brain shuts down completetly. Ugh, the whole math thing just gets me sad...

Wait, You want a Laptop?!
My mom's birthday was January 31st. She LOVES her birthday, celebrates it for an entire week lol. She hints at me and my older brother that she wanted a laptop, so we are going to give it to her when she comes back from out of town. I think its funny how she got me a Purple Snuggie and Pajama's for my birthday, but she wants me to get her a laptop lol. I love my mom, she's a character.

R.I.P Baby Cameron
My only brother who is also my bestfriend had a son born on January 27,2011, however he was sent to heaven that same day. Cameron Antonio Gray would have been the 14th edition to my nieces and nephews, scratch that, HE IS the 14th edition to my nieces and nephews. I went to the hospital on the 28th to say my goodbyes. I cried as I held him and looked down at his little body. He was so perfect that God wanted him to be one of his Little Angels. We were told that there was a high possiblity of him not surviving the birth because his kidneys didn't develop like they should have. But my nephew did survive, he came out with his eyes open and he let out a small cry. Even though he passed shortly after that, atleast he got one good look around and with that cry he told us Hi.
RIP Cameron Antonio Gray (Little Cam Bam)

Old Habits Die Hard
I've always been one of those students that did great without putting in much effort. I graduated as Salutatorian while playing 4 sports and being the Vice-President of 3 clubs. I knew college would push me to study harder, but as they say old habits die hard; and for some reason this habit won't die! I still think that if I study just enough I would do great. My first semester as a Freshman I got all A's and a C. I was really mad about the C, however I knew deep down I did everything to deserve that grade. This semester, I find myself slipping back into my old mentality and I can't allow myself to do it. I really need to get better studying habits or I'll be forced to study the angry look on my mother’s face if I bring home a bad grade.

Is it the END?!
Everywhere I turn I hear someone saying the end is near. No one knows when the world will end. If you feel that your days are coming to an end the that's to bad for you. Im going to live like I have 1000 years ahead of me and when God says it's time for me to go then adios mi amigos. End of the world???? PLEASE!!

Anthropology
Today in my Anthropology class we discussed whether our beliefs were more scienced-based or more faith-based. I knew this discussion could turn into a heated argument because religion is a touchy subject and everyone doesn't have the same mindset. We had some students who believed science created us, some students including me felt it was God who created all, and we had those that had no clue of what/who created everything. It makes you think about how we came to be, but you have to be strong in your own faith or your mind can be changed easily.
